Inclusive fun for every child this spooky season.

Halloween can be exciting but for many children with sensory differences, it can also bring unexpected challenges. Crowds, costumes, flashing lights, and loud sounds can sometimes turn a fun event into an overwhelming one.

At Autism Positive, we believe that every child deserves to enjoy seasonal celebrations in an environment that feels comfortable and inclusive. That’s why we’ve gathered a list of SEN-friendly Halloween events happening across the West Midlands this October.

These events are designed with quieter spaces, smaller groups, and sensory considerations in mind, making the spooky season a little calmer and a lot more enjoyable.

Forge Mill Farm (West Bromwich, B71 3SZ)

Early Access: Monday 27th October
Enjoy early entry to the farmyard, trail, animals, and the SEND Natural Play Barn session. Families can explore the Pumpkin Patch and the rest of the farm before it gets busy.

Quiet Time: Sundays, 9–10am

Final Thoughts

Halloween doesn’t have to be loud or overwhelming to be magical. Whether your child / young person loves pumpkins, animals, crafts, or quiet trails, the West Midlands is full of opportunities.

There’s no “right” way to celebrate Halloween. For many SEN families, the best memories may be made at home. Creating calm, familiar experiences that everyone can enjoy together. You might carve pumpkins, have a cozy movie night with fairy lights, or play Halloween themed games. What matters most is that everyone feels safe, comfortable, and included.
